It's Count Down Time

I've decided I'm not good at this blog thing. I can't seem to get on a daily schedule to post a note. Will keep trying, I do enjoy entertaining you.

Let's see, what is going on that is exciting?  It's countdown time, 95 days until Bride To Be's wedding! And our new business BCGirls made our first sale!  We are plenty excited about that too!!

Bride To Be went for her 2nd gown fitting and everything is looking great!  Of course I haven't found a dress yet.  I'm hoping to lose about 20 lbs before the wedding. lol

I hear that all the time, don't you?  I guess BIG events give us the incentive to lose weight. Do you think I can lose as much weight as this girl before the wedding?  Look at her, what she lost in
4 days!  WOW, I bet I could lose all my body weight in 3 months.

Delays, Delays

I apologize for the delay in posting.
Christmas came and went.  New Year's came and went.
The Bride to Be had a Birthday in January!!
I was able to schedule a trip to see Bride to Be in January as well.

I must say we got a lot done during my visit:
Caterer......check!
Flowers...check!
Reception....check!
Cake....check!
Church...check!
Dress came in....check, plus a nightmare!

And more exciting news....Bridal Couture Girls were born while I was in Oklahoma.
More on that in my next post!!  In the mean time you can visit BCGirls here!

Gown Fitting Day

I spoke to Bride to Be today.  We talk almost every day. If we can't it's not normal.  Her first gown fitting is tomorrow. I wish I was going to be there with her.  I'm glad to know that my mom, sister and sister-in-law are going with her.

I told Bride to Be about this blog today. She kinda liked the idea, I think.  We will see.  I've encouraged her to write a few posts or comment.

Brides come in all shapes and sizes. But when it comes to attitude, most brides fall into one of three categories -- good, bad and worse. Answer these nine questions and find out if an upcoming wedding has transformed someone you know into a bride gone berserk!

Help Is On The Way!

Bride to Be is back and we've been talking about some of the wedding details.  This wedding is going to be here before you know it!!  How do I get Bride to Be to ask for help.  She doesn't want to bother any one. I think this is one way someone could turn into a Bridezilla.

So what do I do. I post a message on Bride To Be's Facebook page to all her friends.  I think this issue will take care of itself, don't you?

Merry Christmas

We'll revisit Bridezilla another day because I have more to say on that topic.
I haven't been posting for a bit, focusing on Christmas shopping and getting into the holiday spirit!
It alway seems more like Christmas when there is snow.  It will be a cold day in hell before we get snow in Sunny California.  Well maybe if we go to the mountains.

I spoke to Bride to Be today and it's a winter wonderland in Oklahoma.  There is more wind and snow then anyone would wish for.  Her gramps got stuck in the snow earlier today and Husband to Be saved the same and went to get him.  That Husband to Be is a keeper.  He has a Heart of Gold.

Merry, Merry Christmas to All and to All A Good Night!

Bridezilla.....Continued

Did you know there is a definition for Bridezilla at Wikipedia?

Bridezilla (a portmanteau of bride and Godzilla) is a generic term used to describe a difficult, unpleasant, perfectionist bride who leaves aggravated family, friends and bridal vendors in her wake.

Bridezilla

Have you ever met a Bridezilla?  What causes future brides to transform into these creatures?  I don't get it.  I told Bride to Be that we would have none of this nonsense.  This is a celebration not a crazy three ring circus act.

Bride to Be has a hard time asking her friends and family for help.  Family and friends love to help the ones they care about.  I tell her on a daily basis that "I'm Your MAMA" ask me, ask me, ask me.  I feel like I'm a child waiting to be picked for a basketball game......pick me, pick me, pick me.

When the Bride to Be gets back from her glorious ski vacation I'm going to remind her that if she doesn't ask for help she is going to turn into this thing called, Bridezilla!!
