Help Is On The Way!

Bride to Be is back and we've been talking about some of the wedding details.  This wedding is going to be here before you know it!!  How do I get Bride to Be to ask for help.  She doesn't want to bother any one. I think this is one way someone could turn into a Bridezilla.

So what do I do. I post a message on Bride To Be's Facebook page to all her friends.  I think this issue will take care of itself, don't you?

Merry Christmas

We'll revisit Bridezilla another day because I have more to say on that topic.
I haven't been posting for a bit, focusing on Christmas shopping and getting into the holiday spirit!
It alway seems more like Christmas when there is snow.  It will be a cold day in hell before we get snow in Sunny California.  Well maybe if we go to the mountains.

I spoke to Bride to Be today and it's a winter wonderland in Oklahoma.  There is more wind and snow then anyone would wish for.  Her gramps got stuck in the snow earlier today and Husband to Be saved the same and went to get him.  That Husband to Be is a keeper.  He has a Heart of Gold.

Merry, Merry Christmas to All and to All A Good Night!

Bridezilla.....Continued

Did you know there is a definition for Bridezilla at Wikipedia?

Bridezilla (a portmanteau of bride and Godzilla) is a generic term used to describe a difficult, unpleasant, perfectionist bride who leaves aggravated family, friends and bridal vendors in her wake.

Bridezilla

Have you ever met a Bridezilla?  What causes future brides to transform into these creatures?  I don't get it.  I told Bride to Be that we would have none of this nonsense.  This is a celebration not a crazy three ring circus act.

Bride to Be has a hard time asking her friends and family for help.  Family and friends love to help the ones they care about.  I tell her on a daily basis that "I'm Your MAMA" ask me, ask me, ask me.  I feel like I'm a child waiting to be picked for a basketball game......pick me, pick me, pick me.

When the Bride to Be gets back from her glorious ski vacation I'm going to remind her that if she doesn't ask for help she is going to turn into this thing called, Bridezilla!!

Mama Knows Best

Mama Knows Best, right?  I figure the Bride to Be will do what she thinks is best.  She might listen to her mama.  We will see.

The Bride to Be and fiance are on a skip trip in Breckridge, CO.  I'm hoping she will come back all relaxed and refreshed and ready to get our thinking caps on to revisit the guest list and church issue.

Now, what the heck am I going to wear to the wedding.
I have to start ponding that idea very soon!

7 Months and Counting

No, I'm not pregnant...my daughter is getting married.
It sure is hard to plan a wedding and feel a part of it all when you live 1000s of miles away. Though we manage to talk several times a week, I wish I could do more in person.

My conversation with the Bride to Be this week was about the number of guests on her list and that the church may not hold them all.  I asked how many....she says, 350!  I said, do you know that many people! Good Golly!  I'm hoping Oprah might help us out here, because i don't know what we are going to do.

I suggested a few months ago to the Bride to Be that she cut back her guest list.  Mama said, if you haven't seen a person in over a year strike them from your list.
